From Orientation To Certification

As part of the Federal Ministry of Youth Development’s commitment to equipping young Nigerians with practical and employable skills, corps members are encouraged to complete at least two NiYA courses during their service year. These courses help you develop in-demand skills while positioning you for future opportunities, including grants and other youth empowerment programmes.

Complete & Get Certified

Your first mandatory course must be completed within 2 days during Orientation to qualify

Step 4

Earn Your Certificate

Successfully complete the course and download your Course Completion Certificate before the end of Orientation Camp.

Step 5

Hit Your Minimum Before Your Service Year Ends

Complete at least one additional NiYA course before the end of your NYSC service year to fulfil the minimum requirement of two courses and remain eligible for future NiYA opportunities.

How do I register as an NYSC Corps Member on NiYA?

Visit https://niya.gov.ng/nysc and complete your registration using the official NYSC onboarding link.

Please refresh the page and generate a new CAPTCHA code. Enter the newly displayed code and continue your registration.

If the issue persists, try using a different browser or clearing your browser cache and cookies.

If you are registering through the official NYSC link (https://niya.gov.ng/nysc), the referral code (NYSC)  is automatically generated for you.

Please ensure you are entering your State Code exactly as it appears on your NYSC documents and in the correct format.

Also confirm your batch and stream details are correct. If the issue persists, please contact support and provide a screenshot of the error message.

This means an account has already been created with that email address.

Please click Login and sign in to your account. If you do not remember your password, click Forgot Password and follow the instructions to reset it.

Please check your Spam, Junk, or Promotions folder, as the verification email may have been delivered there.

After logging in, navigate to the Courses section and select any available course. Click Enroll to begin learning.

NYSC Corps Members are required to complete:

  • One mandatory course within the first two (2) days of Orientation Camp
  • One additional course before the end of their service year

After completing each course, ensure you download your certificate from your dashboard.

Once your course is 100% completed, navigate to the Quiz section located within the course page and complete the assessment.

You must pass the quiz before your certificate can be generated.

Please ensure that you have completed all lessons and clicked the “Lesson Complete” button for every lesson or video.

Once all lessons have been marked as complete, your progress should update accordingly. Afterward, proceed to take the quiz.

Once your course is *100% complete* and you have passed the quiz, go to:

Profile → Dashboard → Completion Certificate

and download your certificate for free.

Please ensure:

✅ Your course progress is at 100%
✅ All lessons have been marked as complete
✅ You have successfully passed the quiz

If your certificate is still unavailable, please send a screenshot of your course progress page to support for assistance.

You can update your name by navigating to:

Profile → Settings

Edit your profile information and save your changes. Once updated, refresh the page and download your certificate again.

NYSC Corps Members should register through:

If you registered through a different link, please send your registered email address to support so your account can be reviewed and updated accordingly.

NiYA provides certificates in digital format only.

Once downloaded, you may print the certificate yourself and keep a hard copy for your records.
